Thermal Storage Systems: This device stores energy as the truck is driven in cold storage, and then provides air conditioning during the drivers’ rest period. A Fuel Operated Heater can be combined with this technology to provide heat. This system does not consume any direct fuel, emits no noise, and weighs about 330 lbs. Only one company currently offers this technology.
